LI: to inference information using QAR strategy, and to identify the main parts of a story also to predict story’s by using the title and the picture.
What I learned was all main parts of a story and how to use the QAR strategy. We were also doing predicting we were using the title and pictures to help us predict about the story. We were doing questioning as well we questioned the characters the places and more.
How I learned was I made a poster. Our poster had to be a different version of the QAR strategy also the Predicting poster and Questioning poster.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Mrs Fisi'iahi.

Character Description
LI: to learn to write a character description and to investigate figurative language.I learned how to write a character description and to use figurative language.How I learn was that I was making my own character description using figurative language. Figurative language is something you have to figure out the opposite of Literal for Example: The city was shivering.

Garbage Games
LI: to learn about where to put the right garbage in the right place.
That we have to put the garbage or waste in the right bin and we learned about What is Waste, Kinds of Waste and Sources of Waste.
By using a website called “What is waste”. We all had to read the text or article and had to know what it meant.

QAR strategy

I learned that there are 4 types of questions and the questions are right there,think and search,on my own and last of all author and me.
How I learned was that I tell my friends a question that links to is about the book or link with the book
Waste Sorting
LI: To learn the amounts of waste that Panmure Bridge School had made.
I learned types of waste that are hazardous,solid,liquid and organic.
How we learned was there was a whole pile of rubbish in the middle of the hall and there were plastic sheets at the corners. What we had to do was put the organic in one sheet the recyclable on another and solids waste on the other two. We also had whiteboards for how

Problem- One day there was a farmer going to his goose’s nest and saw a big heavy yellow egg.
Events- The Farmer was going to throw it away because he thought someone was playing a prank on him.
Then when the Farmer took the egg he took a look at it it and couldn’t believe his eyes it was a golden egg.
The next day he saw another golden egg. He knew it was going to make him very,very rich so he took the golden egg and went to sell the golden egg.
Everyday he went to the goose to go and get golden eggs. As the farmer grew richer he wanted more golden eggs so he killed the goose.
Resolution- But actually there were no golden eggs he went back to being poor.
Ending- The farmer would get no more gold and he was very sad. He killed the goose because he was to greedy.

Problem?-William was a boy that never liked going hunting because every time he shoot the bow and arrows William misses the target his brothers laugh at him for not shooting the targets. Then there dad the King wanted to go hunting and his sons including William.
Events!-Before they went hunting William went out in the woods practising shooting.While William was shooting a old man came.
The old man was watching William miss his targets again and again.
William looked at the old man and he looked very cold and hungry so William gave him some food and his warm coat.
Then the old man owed him back a stone. He said “As long as the stone is in your pocket you you will hit the target”.
Resolution-William appreciated him and went back to the castle but William forgot all about the stone.
Ending- After that William had to go hunting with his dad and brothers. When he shot the target he couldn’t believe his eyes arrow was on the target. Later that happened he felt the stone in his pocket and knew that it was magical.

What I learned was that narrative's are a made up story and doesn't need to have a fake setting or a fake character.
How I learned to write was before I write we do our plan and like our Orientation,Events,Problem and Resolution.
