For some time, New Zealands beaches have become dump grounds. There is so much waste. Also almost 80% of the waste is plastic items. So Countdown has made a decision to stop giving out plastic bags. I think that is a great idea because that will reduce the amount of plastic. I asked my Mum and she also agrees, she says that we should bring our own bags.
Hello Chris! I also think going plastic bag free for countdown is a great idea and will be quite effective and helpful. It will be a smart idea to bring your own bags going shopping to countdown because it's something my family has been doing for a while. What else do you think will help reduce the amount of rubbish on land? Keep it up!

The image of the plastic bags are great. I like it. Yes we should bring our own bags to shopping, because sometimes they run out of bags and we have nothing to use. Especially people who do big shopping.
