LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to say if we would join the 40 Hour Famine and why? We had to write six sentences to get full points. The task was based of Julian Dennison who actually joined World Vision to help the 40 Hour Famine charity.
I would do the 40 Hour Famine because thinking about possibly changing someones life feels really good. This 40 Hour Famine could possibly also help me as well.
Kia ora Chris,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Laura and I work for the Summer Learning Journey. I heard that you had finished all the activities in the programme! Wow, well done!
I was interested to read this post about the 40 Hour Famine. Good on you for saying that you would give it a go. It would be quite hard not to eat for 40 Hours!
The task asks you to write at least 6 sentences to get full points - can you tell us a bit more about why you think it would be a good thing to do? What would be fun or interesting about doing the 40 Hour Famine? What would be hard or challenging? Why do you think it would help you out as well?
I look forward to reading more about this!
Best wishes,
Laura
Hi Chris!,
ReplyDeleteI would also do the 40 Hour Famine, to help raise money. It would also be a big experience to help these refugees. I would love to know more reasons about why you would join the 40 Hour Famine. Besides that you have a great blog post about this activity. Would you like to become an ambassador of the 40 Hour Famine?
Great Work!
Hi Chris!
ReplyDeleteThis activity you did was great, Great job for staying active with the Summer Learning Journey! What was the hardest part of this activity?
Blog you later!

Hello Chris! Personally, I would do one of the 20 o 40 hour famines as well. I can definitely agree with the main reasons that you said. It would be changing many lives including my own, and I'd just be able to grow as a person. I wish you could be a little more specific on how it would help you, or the benefits. Otherwise a really good blog post!
ReplyDeleteHey Chris,
ReplyDeleteI like your blogpost on why you would want to do the 40 or 20 hour famine. It is good that there are so many ways that people can help out others that are less fortunate than they are. If you do end up doing the famine, what would you end up giving up for that amount of time? And why would you give that thing in particular up? Keep up the good work.
