Nobel Prize Winner



LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to pick a Nobel Prize Winner and write about them. The task was based off of Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie. Florence Nightingale was a medic for the Crimean War. The hospitals were dirty so she spent money to clean the up so the soldiers had quality care. Marie Curie was a chemist and was the first person to discover the chemical elements. She also won a Nobel Prize twice!

    Reading about Malala Yousafzai was enjoyable and interesting. Malala Yousafzai is an awesome person, who fought for the rights of education for female. It's amazing that Malala Yousafzai won the Noble Peace prize. You have very interesting and great information about Malala. I have also chosen Malala Yousafzai for this activity.

  4. Hello Chris! I really enjoyed reading your short description about Malala Yousafzai. Her story is just absolutely unbelievable, and incredible at the same time! She is also an amazing role model, for continuing to fight, and standing up for her beliefs. I think she deserved that Noble Peace prize, for recognition and notice. Did you know Malala also wrote a book, called Malala's Magic Pencil? Good work!

    I like the information that you have gathered on Malala Yousafzai and what she did. I think she was great for standing up for her education so that she could learn and go to school. She totally deserved to get the Nobel Peace prize. If she never protested do you think girls from Pakistan would be able to go to school today? Or would the government still enforce their policy? Keep up the amazing work.
