LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to write into an imaginary diary and write about an extraordinary day, the day could've been made up. The task was based off of Anne Frank who was a Jew when the Nazi event was happening. She and her family had to hide in a secret room for 2 years because the Nazis didn't like Jews. Anne Frank wrote a diary on her time in the secret room for 2 years. Her dad found the diary and then published it.

  1. Well done on posting and continuing to participate in the SLJ this year. What could you do to be a changemaker Chris? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep up your learning over the school break!

  2. Kia ora Chris,

Thank you for sharing your diary entry!

Is your diary entry fact or fiction? I'm curious to know as I've always wondered what Burma is like! I can tell you had a lot of fun writing this diary entry. I'm curious to know what inspired the story? :)

  4. Hello Chris! Your extraordinary day sounds super interesting. Burma sounds like it'd be an exciting trip, especially being a place that's actually connected to you in a way. I love the detail, and appreciate the realism your diary portrays. Would you read Anne Frank's diary? I would! And I'd try to take a deep look at the detail and take in to thought her emotions, expressions, and stories...Great job!

  5. Hey Chris,
I like the diary entry that you have created. I think that it is really interesting and creative. I wish that we had slides like the ones in your diary here in New Zealand. Going on one of those would be heaps of fun. Like Erica, I'm curious to know if your diary entry is real or just made up. If it was real then Burma must be heaps of fun. Keep up the good work.
