For this activity I had to find two rivers in New Zealand that are being polluted. Also I had to tell facts about those rivers such as what river is it? Where is the river? and How is it being cleaned? The two rivers I found were Wairua River and Tukituki River. Wairua river is in the North Island and there is a group that is trying to clean the water. The Tukituki River is in Hawks Bay, and the Green Party is going to clean it if next year they are elected as government.
Greetings Chris,
ReplyDeleteI have decided to comment on another post you did and I'll give you my feedback! For an example.. You need to say where place is. How did figure out what rivers were polluted?
Keep it up!
Hi Chris,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity! I liked how you added in some pictures of the rivers. I also liked how you labelled the pictures of the rivers with their names. How many polluted rivers and lakes do you think we have here in New Zealand?
Kia ora again Chris,
ReplyDeleteNice to see you blogging! Which activities are your favorite?
The Wairua river is situated in Northland. You are right, they do have a group called the ‘ river pollution patrol’. The look after the plants, the sea creatures and rubbish! Have you ever thought about joining a group like this one?
Tukituki River is located in Havelock North, do you know where that is? That is really interesting that the green party is going to help this river if they come in power. Have you ever been here before?
Don’t forget that you can get extra points by posting meaningful, thoughtful and positive comments on any other bloggers post! Keep up the awesome work!
Cheers,
Georgia E
