For this activity I had to talk about if I agreed or disagreed on the rule of paying 100,000 dollars just because you fished to much fish in one area. I am not sure on the idea. I do think that you should not fish a lot of fish in one area. Or that area would be endangered of fish. But I don't think you have to pay a 100,000 dollar fine.

ReplyDeleteI personally think that $100,000 for a fine is also unfair because that is WAY TOO MUCH! Even reducing it half price and making it $50,000 would still send a powerful message out there.
What do you think is a reasonable amount for the fine? I think getting rid of the fine would not be a great idea because some people would continue to fish in certain areas. I would love to hear your thoughts!

ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity! I somewhat agree with you, people shouldn't be continuously fishing in the same spot or the fish around there will either go extinct or just die out. I do think that $100,000 is an appropriate amount to deter people as well as make sure that if they do get caught, they don't do it again. Although the fine is huge it's mainly aimed at the huge fishing companies.

Yes exactly I agree with you. 100,000 dollars is way to much money for someone to be payed for over fishing.
