Scaling New Heights

LI: ask questions
One of the activities for the Summer Learning Journey was to imagine interviewing Sir Edmund Hillary, and ask him five questions. Sir Edmund Hillary was famous because he was the first man to climb Mount Everest. You can even see him on the New Zealand 5 dollar note. My Five Questions to Sir Edmund Hillary would be:

  1. Why was climbing Mt Everest you big dream?
  2. What made you want to climb Mt Everest?
  3. How long did it take to the top?
  4. Did you exercise for this?
  5. How did you feel at the top?

  1. Good afternoon Chris,

You have put together an interesting list of questions to ask Sir Edmund Hillary in an interview. I am sure he would have enjoyed answering your questions.

My favourite out of the list would have to be the last one because you've moved away from his achievements and are willing to ask about his emotions when he reached the summit. He would have been speechless and I'm sure the feeling of satisfaction would be indescribable in words. This question would lead to an interesting answer..

If you could interview anyone else from NZ, who would it be and why?

    Have an awesome week,
    Susie

  2. Hi Chris,
Great job on completing this activity! I like how you included a picture of Sir Edmund Hillary, but you seem to have forgotten to link it. Did you know that before he climbed Everest Hillary was a Bee Keeper?

  3. Hi Chris,

What an outstanding blog post seen from you. It's good to see you focusing on your learning during these summer holidays. I did this activity too. It was great. Did you enjoy doing this task? Why? The image of Sir Edmund Hillary is great. I love your questions that you have listed down for him. My best question would be What made you climb this mountain?

    NICE:)
