Careers: Building & Construction Manager

LI: to explore a career that interests me

I took the Career Quest quiz to help me find a career that interests me. At the end the three options I chose were being a Carpenter doing Carpentry, Building Contractor which is a businessman who does business revolving around construction and building. Lastly the last option was Building & Construction Manager, which is a person who takes over a project on a construction site. The job I picked was Building & Construction Manager. This DLO (Digital Learning Object) shows the qualifications needed, what I will do, the pay, the working conditions, and the knowledge needed to be a Building & Construction Manager.

I really liked reading your blog post today! I liked the way you have added all the information including the pay, working conditions, entry requirements, knowledge needed and the work you will do. The information explains your career completely. Your work seems quite hard! Did you search for all the jobs after the quiz or you just chose the job of a construction manager by your interest? Next time try to keep the Learning Intention bold and the take care of the punctuation. I am looking forward to read your other blogs!
    Keep up the great work!

    2. To answer your question, I actually looked at the list of job results. I found three options but ultimately I picked the Building & Construction Manager because it seems I am suited for the job, as well as that I really am interested in the job.

    1. Hi Sulia, I actually do think I have the qualities to become a Constructions Manager. It is because a lot of the knowledge needed to be a Constructions Manager, are the areas I am pretty strong at. Yes I also do think the payment is enough, because I wouldn't want to big of a pay.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog post, all the requirements seem to fit you so you've picked the right career. At first what interested you in being a Building/Construction manager? It seems that you needed some knowledge about basic construction so you might need to find out more about the basics on building/construction.

    Good Job!

    1. Kia Ora Lukah, thank you for the compliment you have given me. What interested me into being a Building & Construction Manager was my father. He works in the Construction field so he's really inspired me to work in that kind of area.
