Little Boat Recount

My Writing Journey

LI: to plan and write a imaginative recount
Today we made a imaginative recount. What we did was watched a video and then we had to make a imaginative recount of that of us in 1st person as that character or thing. Mr Wong made a Google Doc for us to write in for the Imaginative recount.  The video we watched was a boat floating around the world. We had to be that boat, we were in 1st person.

KiwiCan

LI: to encourage people
Today we went to Kiwican with Mr Matt and Miss Lily (Kiwican Teacher) and started off with a Energizer. The game we played was called the Animal Game. We had to get in a circle and Mr Matt would go into the circle. He pointed at people and said a animal, and the person he was pointing at had say what noise the animal made and had to do the action. For example if Mr Matt pointed at me and said Tiger I would shout "Raar" and put my hands up and make them claws. We also did a Buffalo then added a Snake. The Buffalo was saying "Moo" and pointing you fingers up next to your head. Snake was just "Ssss" and wiggling yourself at the same-time. We played two rounds the went into our session we were talking about Encouragement. So after that we played Clap Jump. We had two taggers and they would have to get us when Mr Matt Of Miss Lily clapped. The rule was you had to jump away from the taggers when the clapper claps. If you move when the clapper doesn't clap you are eliminated. If you got tagged by the tagger you are out.  Then we played two rounds then got into a GKQ (General Knowledge Question). Then we finished and had our points rounded up and we got a 19/25. Later then we left for Morning Tea.

We also had to make the presentation look great. We all had something to do so none was left out.

Bean Bag Game 5 Sentence Recount

Name: Chris
Title: Bean Bag Game
On Monday the 19th of February, Mr Wong's writing group went outside to play activities in at the fields.
The first thing we did was get into three groups of eight.
After Mr Wong told us how to play and the rules of the game.
We played two rounds of the Bean Bag game.
It was really fun but the problem was it was too hot.

LI: to learn how to make a quick recount
Today we made a Five Sentence Recount about a activity we played at Monday, but we had to use TREE.
T: Title
R: Reveal
E: Events
E: Ending
We had the Title.
The a reveal so that was the 5 Ws,
Who

When
Where
Why
There was three events so what happened.
Then it was the ending, what we did for the ending was a personal reflection.

KiwiSport

LI: to learn how to throw and catch a softball
Today was the first day of Kiwi sport. The sport was Softball.
The first thing we did was get into pairs. Me and my partner (Alisha) got a softball to throw and catch. So the teacher showed us how to throw a soft ball. We had to make a L. One for aiming and one for throwing. We had to throw with our dominant hand, so if you are right handed you throw with that hand, and if you are left handed you throw with the left. We did it for a couple of minutes then played a game. The game was you had to throw it to your partner and they had to catch it. If they didn't catch it or the dropped it, the two pairs were out. We played two rounds and me and my partner won the first round, then on the second round another pair won.

Kiwican

LI: To follow the rules
Today we went to Kiwican, and our teachers were Miss Lily and Mr Matt. The first thing we did was make 4 lines and then played a Energizer. Our Energizer was Freeze Tag. We had two taggers and they had to freeze everyone. But they had to walk. They had to fast walk. Everyone was fast walking while other people were getting tagged, and if a person tapped someone on the shoulder that got tagged they got back into the game. We played three rounds and did a Lesson. What we were talking about was Rules. Why do we have them? Why do we obey them? Also what would happen if there were no rules?
Why we have rules is to protect us.
We obey them so everyone doesn't go crazy.
If we didn't have any rules or laws humanity would've ended and a lot of chaos.
After that we played Human Bowling.
So we got split into two teams and all got into a formation bowling  pins would be in. So each team were human pins. The other team would have a ball and try to knockdown the other team. Then if the ball touches one of the opponents they are out. Then the other team who didn't get the ball has a chance to bowl the other team. We had two rounds of Human Bowling and it was a draw.

Creative Work Attribution

LI: to learn how to attribute pictures or pieces of work from other people
Today we were practicing how to attribute pictures. The first thing we did was:
  • Get a image.
  • Go to tools and click usage rights, then click Labeled for Reuse.
  • Go on it and pick a image.
  • Click Visit and get the image on a Google Doc, Slide, Sheet whatever.
  • Link the work.
  • Link the creators profile.
  • Link the license's information.

Why do we attribute:
So the creator doesn't think that you are stealing his work
To also let people know made the piece of work
