Winter Solstice Animation

What I learned was that the sun doesn't move around the earth the earth moves around the sun. It takes the earth 360 days to move around the sun.
How I learned was that I went online for some information about the Winter Solstice and made it into a animation.

SmartCommenting

Today for CyberSmart we did Smartcommenting we commented on Tamaki Primary Students.
I commented on Cerenity what she was blogging about was a book she read and she was retelling it in her own words.
When I was commenting I had to make a connection, give advice/give a question about her work, and then a motivational sentence.


Technology at Home

                      
LI:To figure out the Benefit,Risk,Alternatives,Initiatives,Next/Nothing of Technology.
What we learned was what should we change about the Technology we have right.
There were also 3 slides before, there were Technology for Home, Technology for Community, and Technology for World.
There are also a Piece of Technology and Technological System.

Matilda Character Description

                           
LI: to interact and comprehend a range of narrative texts.
What I learn was to do a Character Description we had to tell about what they wear or what there personality is and more about the character you are talking about.
I went on Google Slide and each slide I made a Character Description about the characters I picked in the book.
The 2 persons I picked were Mrs Truncbull and Mr WormWood.

LI: to learn how to measure time.
What we learnt was how to measure time. There were different ways to measure time like milliseconds,seconds,minutes,hours,days,months and many more.
How we learned was that we went on a Google Spreadsheet and we had to run the distance we had to and ad them up in total to see what our answer is we used a calculator so we didn't make a mistake.

LI: to write a narrative and to buddy conference to start to editing and check writing.
What I learned was to buddy check a person’s narrative they wrote last week. Our story was about Jack and Jill awakening a monster in a swamp.
We had to check our partner's story of all the bad things or mistakes our partners made.

Compare and Contrast

LI: To identify the differences and the same between a piece of technology and a technological system.I learnt what are the differences between a piece of technology and a technological system. I also learnt that compare and contrast means when you give information about 2 different things that will combine in a lot of similarities.We would make a google drawing that was called teach art and make the T chart on the google drawing and write piece on one side and technology on the other side, and choose one thing from piece of technology and technology system.

Words I don't know

What I learned was a whole bunch of words. I learned what herd meant it. Herd meant gathering/forming into a group. I also learnt the word disinfected.
How I learned was I read my book I was reading for this week and tried to find ten word I don’t know. Then I search it up and find the definition.

Liquid Volume


LI: to learn how to measure liquid volume
What I learn was how to measure liquid volume. We also learn how to convert mL into L. We could also do il L to mL. Then we divide or multiply the mL or L.  Also how we found the mL was on the cans,bottles and cartons.We went to find 4 pictures of liquids(we had to attribute the pictures).

Research on Roald Dahl

I learned many things about Roald Dahl. He didn’t write children books until he had children. He also was a Hurricane fighter pilot in World War II and his parents are Norwegian.
How I learned was I went to different websites and tried to find facts about Roald Dahl. There were a lot of great facts about Roald Dahl.
  1. He was born on 13 September 1916 in Llandaff South Wales United Kingdom.
  2. Sadly Roald Dahl passed away on 23 of November 1990, Oxford, United Kingdom
  3. He was a Hurricane fighter pilot in World War ll.
  4. His parents are Norwegian.
  5. When Roald Dahl was four his father died.
  6. He did not start writing children's book until he had kids.
  7. He had two steel hips and six operations on his spine after World War ll.
  8. Roald Dahl was a British novelist and a poet.
  9. Roald Dahl liked chocolate, but not chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream and other chocolate food.
  10. Roald Dahl’s grave was in St Peter and St Paul churchyard in Great Missenden.
  11. Roald Dahl’s book had sold over 250 million books worldwide
  12. Roald Dahl wrote 51 books.
  13. Roald Dahl was badly injured in 1940 when he crash landed in his Gloster Gladiator biplane in an Egyptian desert. He fractured his skull broke his nose and passed out.  
  14. Roald Dahl was named after a famous norwegian polar explorer named Roald Amunds

Volume Measurement

                          
LI: To find and measure volume.
What I learned was about volume. The volume is the amount of space  of a shape,object or material. It can be measured by width,height and depth and the number of you measurement of width height and depth, you multiply the numbers.
How I learned was that we went to go and measure four 3D rectangular shapes and measure it. When we the width,depth and height we multiply our numbers.

Making Connections

 LI: Our learning intention is to make connections and synthesise.
What I learned was making connections. What the things we were doing about making connections was: Text to Self,Text to Text and Text to world. Text to Self is something that happened in the book that happened to you. Text to Text is what happened in a book that is similar to another book. Text to World is what's happening in the book that's the same thing that’s happening around the world.
How we learned was that we had and activity on our Chromebooks. We had to make a connection with another thing or making a connection with what happened in the book or world or even what you had experienced.
