Science Main Ideas | Reading

LI: to find the most vital ideas from the information to help us answer the question “What is science?”.


This DLO is identifying the ideas of science which we have learnt from the information we have gained. To find the vital information, we negotiated by collaborating and communicating with our team. We shared our opinions and ideas, we took notes and from them we selected and rejected information to get to our final conclusion. 

For us the 3 main vital ideas are:
  1. Science is the discovery of What, Why, and How events happen
  2. The three main branches of science are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  3. There are two main categories of science, and they are Basic and Applied Science

    Great to see you blogging about your work,I really liked that you have told the readers how your group negotiated and worked as a team. I have done this as well but bit different. Its great to see that you have an high quality blog post about your work.

      Your comment is really nice, I really appreciate your comment. I like the three main branches of Science, because they work together to make something because I thought it was really cool and unique.

      Its amazing that you have answer the question I gave to you I really think that the three main branches of Science worked really well together and that its really cool and unique.

      I agree with the 3 vital ideas because some people might not know about it and some people might know lots about it.

      Why did you group pick those 3 vital ideas?/ Why?

      Hi Liletina! Again thank you for replying back and answering the question. My team actually watched a video together, which explained a lot about What science is, and about science. We picked those three, because we thought they were the main ones, we thought that it kind of covered all the smaller details.

      What were your teams 3 vital ideas and why?

      Again, Wow Thanks for replying to the comment I gave to you. Its great see that your group worked together to find the 3 vital ideas by watching a video.

      My groups 3 vital ideas is

      1- Science is an answer and has the power to destroy and heal.
      2- Science includes physics, chemistry and biology.
      3- Science is discovering new things.

      We picked these three questions because it hooked people into reading my blog post.
