Skyline Luge

LI: to take a virtual tour of Aotearoa
For one of the virtual tours I started off with doing Skyline Luge which is a kind of park/restaurant in Rotorua. The activities were actually made from students from LS2 so all these ideas were from the students. The first activity I did was to talk about why we wear helmets on the Luge Ride, and how it protects us and the problems we would face without it. The second activity told us to choose an activity from Skyline Luge, and add up all the cost of how much it would cost if our family went on every ride. Our bonus activity was to find out the distance from Auckland to Rotorua using plane and car, and we had to pick a transportation type and why.

  1. Hi Chris

I really like the way you have explained that these activities were created by LS2. Thank you for that. Your responses are well written and interesting to read. An idea would be to go back and add a map to show where the Skyline Luge is and the distance between Auckland and Rotorua. Don't forget to use our 'completed work' sheet to see others who have created blog posts that you can comment on.
