LI: to use a formula to calculate the area of rectangles and squares and investigate the relationship between the perimeter and area of rectangles
This week we we learning about Perimeters and Area. The perimeter is the length distance exactly around a shape. The area is how much can fit or how much space there is in something. So we did that by watching a video from Math Antics: Area Video & Perimeter Video
They tell us how to figure out the perimeter of a shape and also a area of shape. We first had a Glossary we had to figure out. We had words that we used to learn in Math and had to write the definitions. Then we had a Google Drawing to fill out. We had to figure out the Perimeter and Areas of shapes. Later we had a ruler task. We had to measure shapes on a sheet and also figure out the perimeter and area of the shapes.
