Structure and Language Features of Persuasive Writing

LI: to identify the structure and language features of a persuasive text
This week we were identifying the structure and language features of a persuasive text. The structure of a persuasive text is OREO. It stands for:
Opinion
Reason and
Explanation
Opinion
The opinion is when you state what you are trying to persuade people to do, or see. The reason and explanation is there to back up your opinion. Show some facts about your opinion to back it up. Then the other opinion is to make sure people know what you are stating and standing for. The language features are Simple Present or Infinitive tense. Emotive words, and also cause and effects. Simple present are words like: the, have, and, and more. Emotive words are the words that are really important. The words that give people more of a understanding. Causes and effects are when your state had something that caused a problem or something, and the effect of that cause.
