LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to pick my own explorer or sportsperson to talk about. I had to write down their name, a description of what they do, and an explanation of what they have done to change the world.
I picked Ann Bancroft who is an astounding person. She is an explorer, author, and a public speaker. She has broke records and amazed people all around the world. She was the first woman to finish several explorations around the Arctic and Antarctic. She has changed the world so much. She has changed the way the world looks at women and girls. She's broken the stereotypes about girls. She has inspired women and girls all over the world, and is recognised as one of the most influential role models for not only woman but also men. She has inspired people from all over the world to follow their dreams.

Hello Chris! Ann Bancroft was a great choice, and a very inspirational person. I'm really glad people have chosen her as their person because I've never heard about her before. She has definitely done great things. Good job!

ReplyDeleteYour information on Ann Bancroft is great. I didn't know that she became the first woman to finish several explorations around the Antarctic and Arctic. Did she travel by boat or by plane? It also sounds like Ann is a great person to look up to and hopeful many other people will also end up following their dreams.
