Martian Encounter

LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to write a short story, that had to be at least 10 sentences long so we could get full points. The task was based off of Malala Yousafzai who was born and raised in Pakistan. When she was young she boarded a bus to go to school and got shot, in Pakistan girls weren't encouraged or even allowed to go to school.  It is widely believed that Malala was attacked because she and her father did not agree with this idea and they felt that women had the right to an education. So after that incident she starting fighting for the rights of women to get an education. Then won the Nobel Prize and is the youngest to win the prize. She then became and author and wrote books.

  4. Hi Chris! I loved reading your story, it was super creative and like no other! It's a very simple but descriptive narrative about the Martian from Mars. I like how you included realism, and added YOURSELF into the story. I think this would make a great kids book! With some amazing drawings. Great work!

  5. Hey Chris,
I like the story that you have created. I think that you did a great job writing about your meeting with a martian. I also think that Malala Yousafzai is a brave woman for going to school even though she knew that there was a large chance she would be hurt or killed. Keep up the good work.
