Mandelas Journal

LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - makers. The task was to imagine being Nelson Mandela when he was in Robben Island Prison and imagine being given a journal and writing down what we think Nelson Mandela experienced.

  4. Kia ora Chris! How are you doing? I'm back and so is the wind! I hope the weather gets better! I'm visiting friends in Whangarei Heads this weekend, so I hope the weather is better up North!

    Thank you for your blog post! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your journal entry about Nelson Mandela's time in prison. I think you provided a really thoughtful, educational perspective. You did very well in providing details such as dates and a daily schedule. Nelson Mandela did some amazing things and it was extremely sad when he was sent to jail.

    I like the journal entries that you made for Nelson Mandela. I think that you did a great job capturing what it was like for him. Do you know why Nelson Mandela was sent to prison? Also, do you think he was more sad or angry that he was sent there? Keep up the excellent work.
