  2. Kia Ora Chris,

You have done a good job writing a recount about Yursa’s tough journey. I can’t imagine how she felt swimming for her life and the lives of the others on board the dinghy. Did you know that the Tokyo Olympics is happening this year? Are there any events that you are looking forward to watching? I always love watching the gymnastics, rowing and the hockey events!

I look forward to reading more of your blog posts soon!

    Blog ya later,

    Dani

  4. Kia Ora Chris! Yursa Mardini is an incredible person, wouldn't you agree? I can't believe she swam in open water sacrificing her own life, to save those of 20 people. I dream to do something like that! It's amazing that she lives on to tell that story, and proudly continues her career as an athlete/swimmer with the life of a role model. Do you like swimming? Nice job!

  5. Hi Chris,
I like the information that you have gathered on Yursa Mardini. I think that she must have been very brave to to jump into the water and to swim for three hours. It's great to hear that she managed to save lots of lives and that she is now training to compete in the 2020 Olympics. What sport would you compete at if you could be in the Olympics?
