Rivalries

LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
The task was to list three rivalries in sports, technology, companies, brands and a bunch more. We also had to provide a picture that showed the rivalry between the two competitors. The task was based off of Steve Job's and Bill Gates rivalry between their companies in technology. Steve Jobs was one of the founders of Apple, and Bill Gates was the founder of Microsoft. So they became a rivalry because of the things they did, they both did very similar things in technology.

  1. Hi Chris
A good short slide show. I like the way you split the slide and the lay out. Shows the competition between the two well. There are lots of examples when you think about it. Often people have very strong views as to what they believe is best. Coke vs Pepsi, Holden vs Ford , McDonalds vs Burger King. K

Well done for continuing your Learning Journey.

  2. Hello Chris! You are doing great with the Summer Learning Journey, I've seen some really good posts from you. This presentation is self-explanatory, but I like the photos you chose to represent each rivalry as well. Which of the three rivalries would you choose? Keep it up!

  3. Rivalry can be quite positive sometimes wouldn't you agree Chris? Who is your rival that empowers you to be better than before? Keep blogging, and commenting on others, to increase your chance of winning one of the awesome prizes and to keep your learning up over the school break!

  4. Kia ora Chris! Olive here from the Summer Learning Journey! How are you doing?

Thank you for your blog post. I really enjoyed reading about the rivalries between the different companies and brands you've chosen. Ka pai on all your effort! I think Arsenal (English Soccer Team) and Chelsea have a pretty intense rivalry. Manchester United is personally, my favourite soccer team! They have pretty big rivalries with other teams! I wonder who'll win? Whose your favourite soccer team?

Remember the end of the Summer Learning Journey is next Friday 24th January! Keep up the blogging, commenting and enthusiasm!

    Ngā mihi,
    Olive

  6. Hey Chris,
I like the presentation that you have made on the rivalries of some pretty big companies. I like to watch football in my spare time so I can definitely agree there is a pretty big rivalry between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Out of these three rivalries, which one would you choose over the other?
