Quality Smart Comment

LI: to learn to make a quality blog comment

For the second activity of the first week of the Summer Learning Journey, we learnt about how to make a quality blog comment and how it can help us win by giving us bonus points. Commenting these help us with learning conversations and new learning. Comments also start a comment thread which helps us improve and encourage each other in a digital learning conversation. In a quality smart comment there has to be a greeting first. Then we usually have compliments about the post and just positivity towards it. We then have feedback to say but always in a positive way then followed up by a connection between you and the post. Lastly is a question related to the topic, and then a farewell.

Its great to see you commenting on other peoples' blogs! In your comment it shows that you have made a connection, started with a greeting, added a compliment and asked a question which are all main aspects of a quality comment. It is good that you have also explained what a comment thread is, I think that a comment thread is a really good example to other students showing how we can make connections with our learning.

Have you had a comment thread with anyone?

Hope you keep up the great work throughout the Summer Learning Journey!

  2. Hi Fau! Thanks for the comment on my post. Yes I have had a comment thread. I was in a group with my teacher and we were growing our knowledge in commenting. It was really fun to do.
Have you ever had a comment thread with someone?
    Thanks!

  3. Malo e Lelei Chris,

I really enjoyed reading your blurb about quality comments and comment threads and how you can earn bonus points from them during the Summer Learning Journey. I also liked the part where you explained what some of the elements of a quality comment are.

Do you think that there is anything else you can add to a quality comment?

    Great Work!!

I agree, commenting on one another's blogs is a great way to improve our communication skills. I really like knowing I am helping our bloggers when I comment.
