Girl Power

LI: to complete the Summer Learning Journey
This task is from the Summer Learning Journey. This years topic for the Summer Learning Journey is Change - maker. The task was to write about a role - model we know personally or someone who is famous. The task was based off of Jessica Mauboy and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa who are both phenomenal singers. They have both inspired young singers nationally and internationally.

The person I picked is Michael Jackson. When he was young he was born into a very poor family with over 10 kids so they were struggling in a lot of ways. But that didn't stop him from showing his talent. He was a record breaking artist. He broke many world records, sold many albums, has been the best selling artist and so much more he's achieved in his life. Even his siblings are now living successfully. So not only did Michael Jackson go from zero to hero but so has many of his siblings.

  1. Hello Chris! Michael Jackson was a great choice for this activity. Many people know about him, but not his background and can be very biased. He is also considered the king of pop, which some of his songs really support that title! Do you listen to his music? Keep it up.

Do you know how many albums he has managed to sell so far in total? Also, it's great that he managed to become successful even when he started low. Keep up the awesome work.
